Coat of Arms Gifts Photo Shoot!
Posted on
We have been working hard in the last few months to develop new coat of arms product lines and a new website, which we hope you love! These things donโt just happen though โ behind the scenes, lots of effort goes into creating what you see online. Youโll see a selection of the new photographs in this article โ we hope you like them!

Who To Choose
Being an independent, family-run company, we have always championed the idea of supporting independent businesses in all aspects of what we do. When it came to choosing photographers, we also opted for a local business, run by Trevor Barrett with his son Elliott and daughter Liz. With more than 30 yearsโ experience in commercial photography, we knew theyโd be able to help us achieve our aims. That and the fact that they are all-round lovely people!
They have helped us enormously to create images that accurately reflect the quality of our personalised coat of arms gifts. They werenโt even fazed when we descended with a van full of boxes packed full of products for them to photograph!

How Do We Do It
When we were thinking about how best to display our personalised gifts, Liz suggested two photo shoots. In the first one we wanted to display each product individually, which sounds simple.ย However, with nearly 80 photographs required of crystal alone this was no easy task! In the blisteringly hot sunshine outside, we sent two days indoors in a darkened room. We hope you like the results of our endeavours! It was important for us to show some โlifestyleโ shots, where our customers can see the products in use, and imagine how their own unique coat of arms gift will look. We were welcomed at the Notley Arms Inn, in the village of Monksilver, West Somerset. The interior design of this beautiful county inn perfectly complements our gift range. We feel that our new photographs give a really good feel for the quality of our gifts.

Itโs Not All Easy!
Personalised crystal is notoriously difficult to photograph, because the light reflects from lots of angles. We wanted customers to get an idea of the sparkling quality of our beautiful crystal ranges. We also wanted to show how great the coats of arms look we engrave them on to the glass. This was at times a tricky balancing act, but we feel that we have achieved our aim. Our other personalised gifts did not present quite the same challenge as the crystal. Thankfully we were now able to make quick progress with the shoot.

We hope you like what Liz, Trevor and Elliott have achieved with the photography and hope it gives you a clear idea of our product range. We have tried hard to create a choice of personalised coat of arms gifts to suit all tastes and budgets. Quality is the forefront of our mission!
Weโd love to hear what you think of our new site, so please do get in touch with your opinions! If you would like to order a scroll with the history of your surname, click hereย or to view our full product range click here.
